Fall is upon us
American Soldier says,
As I type this entry my window is open and although it is a little chilly, I am enjoying it. The mark of fall brings fond memories of when I was a child. I didn’t really have much growing up but I had my imagination. I remember building houses in the massive amount of leaves that would fall where I lived. The colors were so vibrant. I remember the snow and how I would build igloos. Play them all day and try to sleep in them until my mother would come and get me and tempt me with a cup of hot chocolate with fluff.
Years later I am the one who watch my children make their memories. Today we are going to do an annual family event, Apple Picking. This is one of my favorite things to do when fall arrives. So I will take many pictures and post some later on.

This is wonderful. It’s what we all need. Families to be together doing things together that make happiness for the parents and memories for the children. I hope we can all put our energy into creating such a life for the people of the United States and offering an example and support for other people. Thank you for this.
How sweet!
Enjoy!
Don’t forget cider and donuts.
Sounds beautiful. It is almost what I have done today. Though I had my window open in my bedroom with the Rally to Honor Military Families on. Then my radio and a good book. My handsome was very good for me today so I could have this time……
He is good to his mommy.
i remember my childhood with snow and imagination. Usually it consisted of my older brothers and snowballs. aaahhhh memories.
I hope you and your family had a great time. I know I always enjoy fall. Just the time to enjoy curling up on the sofa with a good book, or taking a walk to look at all the beautiful trees.
You’ve got to be either from the northeast or northwest. I’m from Oregon and recognize what you’re talking about. Am in Lousiana right now and sure am missing that cool fall transition.
I’m a grad student - looking to do my thesis on miliblogs…would like to speak w/you further - will remain anonymous.
Thanks.
