More on the lateset
American Soldier says,
AS is back in states. His injury has brought him home to recover. He is, for the moment, in a military hospital. He has run the gamet of testing to determine the outlook of things. And right now it’s a matter of time. He will be taking it slow for some time.
I’m sure most of you can imagine how he’s feeling right now. He has told me he’s doing alright and has accepeted his injury. He has also said that he feels like he has done what he wanted to do in Iraq. So at the moment he is doing well in that regards and just focusing on recovering.
I will be going out to see him this weekend. I will be gone for a few weeks. It will be wonderful to see him. We are both looking forward to it.
Hopefully the next post will be from him.
Thank you for the prayers and support
Mrs. AS

Thanks for the update. Sending prayers your way. Please let him know I appreciate all that he has done for our country.
Well….. hell.
I know this isn’t where he wants to be, but I’m grateful for the time he got to spend in Iraq. I know how important it was for him to be there, even if his tour was cut short due to the injury. More than that, I’m grateful he came home safely- injured, but safe, and that you two get to spend time together soon.
Tell him to take the doc’s advice, and heal quickly, ok?
Thank you for the update Mrs AS! We wish you a safe trip and a full recovery for AS. He should be very proud, he has served his country well with honor and bravery and we are very grateful.
Wow I am glad he is back in the states and he is safe; even if this isn’t where he wants to be. Thanks for the update. I hope the 2 of you have a good visit. I hope you recover soon!
Take good care of your soldier. You are both in my prayers.
Thank you for the update, Mrs AS. I’m glad to hear that he is safe. I hope he heals quickly and is given strength for whatever comes next. I’m happy you will get to spend time with him! You’ll both be in my prayers. We love you!
Prayers and good wishes for you both. You are the heart and soul of America.
Oh, thank you so much for the update on AS, Mrs. AS!!! Prayers going out to you both, as always. I’m so glad you will be with him soon ~
Thank you so much for the update. When I heard AS had been injured, my heart stopped. Thank you for your service and hope you’re feeling better soon. Mrs. AS, thank you too!!!
I am glad to hear he is back in the US. I know that is not what he planned, but God is in control. Thanks for the update, and give him my best.
AS, we know that you gave it your all and for that , Well Done! Ever consider forming future AS’s by being an Instructor? Either sniper or basic training. I’m sure you have so much to offer with all of your experience. Hope everything works out for you. Thank You for going into harms way in our behalf. God Bless You and Your Family.
Thank God you’re going to be okay! (I’m going to do just that tonight). I’m glad you’re stateside too. I expect it’s a mixed blessing from your point of view, but I know your family wants you safe and well. You’ve done good, AS, be home feeling proud of the job you did, and the men to the left and right who you watched over like family. That’s what really matters.
Thank you so much, Mrs. AS. You both have our profound respect and gratitude. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
Thank you for your selfless sacrifice, American Soldier. You epitomize the nobility of the American who cares enough about our nation’s fundamental values and security to go into harm’s way to protect them. If you and Mrs. AS would like a free copy of my CD - WE THANK YOU - let me know, and I will mail you one. Or just listen to it free on my website. The song is for all who make the sacrifice of service. “The armchair critics/Speak of peace/Like it’s so eas’ly won./The don’t see in every tranquil truce/There lies a smoking gun./They don’t know that if it weren’t for you/More towers would be burned/And the tides toward truth and freedom could be turned! That’s why we thank you.”
May God bless you and keep you and Mrs. AS.
And again, we thank you.

AMEN ! You are home—-your hurting, your questioning HIS plan for you. Go forward as you have done before, HE will take care of you and your family, You A S have a unique way of bouncing back into an active life . Prayers, thoughts and love go out to you, the Mrs. & kids.
Glad your back and out of that God forsaken place. I’m sure you have a new found appreciation for the U.S. not that you never did, but its just different after something like you went through.
I’m a Canadian living in the UK but just wanted to say that my thoughts are with both of you guys right how. If it weren’t for each guy in the US armed forces like AS (and people like you and the family behind him) the world we all live in would be a much worse place than it is. That much history show us. Know that there are people like me, non-Americans who appreciate guys like AS who will go and fight for what is right…and all the more so when they have been wounded doing so.
Thanks for letting us know that he’s back and recovering. It was such a long haul for him to get to Iraq with his unit in the first place, and now this. It’s just so unfair. Tell him to take care of himself and that there are alot of folks out here praying for his quick recovery. I look forward to his return to the blogosphere.
I am glad you get to go and see him. Give him hugs and tell him prayers are headed his way. I know this isn’t how he wanted things to go. I am glad he is accepting his injury. Reading he feels he had done what he wanted to in Iraq was good. I worried about that.
You take care of yourself, let AS know we are praying for his full recovery.
I’m glad to hear he’s doing ok, and that he’s back here in the U.S to recover. It’s good that you get to go see him, I’m sure that’ll bring his, and your, spirits up. I’ll be praying for you both. Take care of yourself soldier.
Wish you the best of luck on the outcome… I’m am really interested in the reports from AS so please keep ‘em coming. I will soon have to do a report on the war so I would like a first person view of the war… Thanks for the freedom..
I stumbled upon this site froma fellow military wife’s blog and I just wanted to say that I hope AS is recovering well.
Best of luck to all of you.

YAAAAYYYY! So glad to hear AS is back in the States. Maybe you can get in touch with Capt Chuck and find out how to go about getting one of the Valor laptops. You are all still in my prayers. God bless you.
