Stranger in a strange land
American Soldier says,
Actually I’ve been doing very good as of late. I am in a groove now and I am keeping things on a positive note. Avoiding triggers whenever possible and taking it day by day.
I haven’t forgotten about continuing the Soldier story, just stay tuned for that. Just so you all know that I have gotten all your messages and forgive me if I have not replied. I have some catching up to do.

Excellent! Just know, AS - good, or bad or somewhere in-between, you’ve got people who care a ton about you out here, and of course, at home (where they’re admittedly easier to locate!
).

A short recon of whats out there that might draw your attention.
Sid,
What article?
Well I am glad to hear that you are doing better. I look forward to the rest of the soldier story. I still have you and all the other soldiers in my prayers.
Glad to hear your doing ok. Worry about you often. Take care AS.
Dear AS
You are ‘doing very good, in a groove, feeling positive’…..what good, wonderful news………..think about you often and check site for update……..keep fighting ‘it’ and know that we are with you.

This is such good news, AS. Never forget how much we care about you and family. ((hugs))
AS,
I’m so glad that you are feeling better and that things are going pretty well for you. It will just take time I’m sure.
You and your family are still in my prayers! Take good care of yourself and them!
Good to hear you are doing better..anxiously waiting to read more of the story…
Remember to Look Forward each day, and soon it’s all in the fading past.
About thirty years from now you can write the book in a different light.
God bless.
AS, I am glad to hear you are doing better and are learning how to adapt. I have been following you for a long time and don’t usually comment. Please know there are lots of us who wish you all the best to over come this shit.
What you are going thru is something near and dear to my heart. My Marine is currently serving his 4th combat tour, 2nd to Iraq and has some major issues with PTSD. You have given me a small glimpse as to the postive outcomes that one can overcome. With all that help available, I hope one day he be able to live with everything he has seen and overcome.
Thank you for all the sacrifices you, the Mrs. and the family have done for our country.
Glad it’s going better!
Good. We’re patient people, AS. We know you’ve got some healing to do and have a lot on your mind. Just know that we will continue to hang out here from time to time, checking in to make sure everything is OK in your world, waiting for new posts.
I’m happy to hear you are doing okay right now - hang in there and keep writing — we’re all here for you.
I also used to ask him over and over that question that you have or will ask over and over too, “Why me!” Of course he had an answer for that question too. He always had answers. I just didn’t always want to hear them. He said, “You could have gone nuts; but, you didn’t! You are a strong, smart person. Sometimes it would be better if you weren’t those things; but, you can’t change your make-up. But because you are strong, you’ll get through this.”
You too will get better. You have gotten help sooner, so you have given yourself an added edge. I hope you don’t mind if I shre these things with you? There is also one last thing, no matter how well meaning others are, myself included, if what they say makes you feel worse, then tell them. That is how they learn how to help. They will understand if they care or are your friend.
God bless you, Mrs. A.S., and your kids. Thank you for all you have done for our country.
Rock on with yer bad self!!
thank you for your work
