A day in the life of an American Soldier. The personal passages of everything from family life to war.

Howdy!

American Soldier says,

Hello all. Thought one of us should drop in and say hello, as it has been a while since we’ve done so.

AS is making his way towards returning to work. We are hoping it will be only be a matter of a few more weeks before he does so. He is a bit on the anxious side about going back, since some things have a changed a bit since he left. And I am anxious for him to get back into a daily routine.

Tomorrow he will be going up north to help build a fellow soldier a new house. This soldier was seriously injured and is still recovering. His town has made a huge effort for his family to raise money to build a house for them. AS was there immediatly after this soldier was hurt, while he was being med-vaced out of the area, and helped kick ass in retaliation. So he feels it is important for him to be there. I am very proud of him for making this effort.

Things at home have been a bit hectic. The kids go back to school tomorrow, Yee Haw! We thought August would never end. And we trying to prepare for the new arrival due the beginning of January. Everyone is eagerly anticipating it.

Other than that he is doing well. Gets on the riding mower with a beer and happily mows the lawn once a week. Tends to his garden every morning. And takes things day to day.

Well, lordy can you believe it! I’m the first one to leave a comment. I’m usually about a week or 2 late. AS and Mrs. AS it’s good to hear from you to see how things are ticking along. AS - self publish both of those books. I was disappointed about your first book being cancelled. My best to you both.
