The first installation of many new things to come. I want all my viewers to know that I am not moving from the text form of Soldierlife. I am merely evolving to bring you a different type of media to experience from.
Some plans with this new content is to resurrect the book and put it into a picture/video format. I hope you enjoy the ride.

That was cool. I do have a suggestion though… Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing In The Name of” is one of the most Anti-American songs out there. Doesn’t seem to do the video justice.

First off I would be wondering exactly if posting this would put you The Ten OPSEC Points and exactly how happy your commanding officer would be if he knew you were posting such videos. And the issues with getting little tennage boys thinking you are glorfying the war. I apologize this just seems disrespectful and immature posting these items.
1. Don’t discuss future destinations or ports of call!
2. Don’t discuss future operations or missions!
3. Don’t discuss dates and times of when we will be in port or conducting exercises!
4. Don’t discuss readiness issues and numbers!
5. Don’t discuss specific training equipment!
6. Don’t discuss people’s names and billets in conjunction with operations!
7. Don’t speculate about future operations!
8. Don’t spread rumors about operations!
9. Don’t assume the enemy is not trying to collect information on you so he can kill you, he is!
10. Be smart, use your head, and always think OPSEC when using email or phone!
i enjoyed watching the footage of a real life situation in war. The filming was creative, interesting, and real. By starting out with a soldier, you get a feel for where they stand in war, and what their duties are. The footage from a view point out of a gun, was very different. It almost made me nervous knowing that someone was aiming to kill something/someone, and you werer watching it happen. Students get a better understanding and reality of war by watching real footage. Not only is the background music serious, but the sounds of can be heard, and the captions make the film personal towards the viewer. The fimer/soldier wants you to feel as though you were at war, or ‘riding along.’ This clip definatly draws the viewers attention!
