The UK soldier hostage situation.
American Soldier says,
I will chime in on this one. I think this whole Iranian hostage situation is getting a bit out of hand. I only wonder what the US would of done by now if it were Americans? I know we would expedited the political attempt and then gone in and got our guys. This is bullshit right now. Parading them on TV and having them read scripted confessions. I wonder what is going to happen next. This is a like a bad reality TV series. The Iranians are pushing their luck.
I pray those soldiers are released unharmed and soon.
Come on ‘W’ and Tony, put your heads together here!

AMEN TO THAT…. Let’s get those guys (and gal) outta there and back home safe… praying for all involved…
Agreed. Unfortunately, both PM Blair and Pres Bush are trying to govern from positions of weakness. Their countries have lost faith in them. Without resounding vocal majority support, or at least absent vocal dissention, they are having a very difficult time getting the support they need from the others in their governments.
I happen to believe in strong leaders who will not take guff from anyone. But sadly, there are too many people who want our leaders to be soft and polite. And they appear to be in the majority right now.
I pray for the 15 British Soldiers; they are clearly being taken advantage of by those Iranian criminals, and they are clearly very unhappy about their treatment. I hope that soon the Lion and Eagle will serve to deliver them from evil.
G’night dear Soldier, sleep well…..
Unfortunately, I remember the 444 days, and with the situation in GB, and the USA (aka public opinion being what it is) - I won’t hold my breath
I say blow up their only gasoline refinery and blockade the whole country from further gasoline shipments. Once they run out of gas, then maybe the Iranian people will do something about their leaders.
Just a thought.
Well they are all back home safe now and Blair has issued a formal apology. They did not look to unhappy to me, the iranians don’t seem to have abused them.
John Ryan, I would suggest you do a bit more reading. The sailors were not exactly treated with kid gloves.
But Iran got what it wanted. Greatly improved it’s prestige in the Arab world, and embarrassed Britain and indirectly, the U.S.
Instead of looking at things through western eyes only, examine things a bit and see how Arab eyes looked at this; especially those eyes of Islamic Fascists.
