Feedback - Thoughts

American Soldier says,

I appreciate the emails and comments here. I was getting a little worried at first but it worked itself out. The feedback has given me some things to decided overall. I am not sure what direction I will move with disclosing my other project. I think some people deserve to know first hand. I will think about how I will go about informing people. Think of it as being part of the exclusive inner circle if I tell you directly.

So thank you and I will be posting my overall decision soon.

Ok.. so I finally registered so I could comment on this latest…

I can only tell you that I have asked myself these questions many times… and the conclusion I came to is this… I don’t write for them, I write for me. If people choose to read it, then great, if not, that’s great too!

There will always be people who care or not, and I fault none of them. But someday, there will be a beautiful young adult who would love to read every single word you’ve typed here… and who will know a side of you that she might not have otherwise. In a way it’s a gift… to you, to your family and to those who will come after you.

It’s so crazy when our lives are the military and then they seem to be something else… but this blog is not about the military. It’s about a soldier and his life. You’ll always be a soldier… think like one, reason like one, even act like one at times. Sometimes we’re made and sometimes we’re born this way… but once you’ve stood in boots, you’re never going to be the way you were before.

So write for you… I think you’ve seen already that others do have an interest and feel a kinship with your thoughts and words.

Trust me though, there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t consider pressing that “Delete this blog” box. We can start a support group… just call when you feel like you’re ready to throw in the towel. ; )

As for your project… I can’t wait! I know this may come off sounding condescending but it’s not meant to be… I am very proud of you… of all you’ve done, and all you’re going to do. I have no doubt that you’ve done and are doing great things…

    Your fellow out-of-place blog buddy,

    AG
